Thinking about getting your children in Television Commercials, Movies or Catalogues?   Modelling and Acting can be a fun and exciting experience for children and parents.   Advertisers, sometimes even cast the real family for ads. Carolyn’s Model & Talent Agency has been in business for over 20 years and is members of the Better Business Bureau, Academy of Canadian Film and Television and The Mississauga Board of Trade.   We are constantly on the look out for great kids from Character types to Cute! Children can make anywhere from 50.00 hr to $30,000 for a TV Commercial that is widely used.    However, parents must have a great understanding of the industry today.   Agents look for kids that do not make strange, and who are outgoing and can take direction. Parents also must have a flexible schedule and also have a great personality as agents have to deal with the parents.  There is no place in the industry for stage parents. Carolyn Nikkanen President of Carolyn’s Model & Talent Agency started out in the industry at age 3.  Both Carolyn’s children also were models from the time they were babies, and now work along side her daily in her busy agency. Her daughter Lindsey is a professional Makeup Artist and graphic artist.   Her work has graced many display ads, and editorial shoots. Kristin, Carolyn’s Younger daughter a child and youth worker by trade, is a children’s agent and booker.  Kristin books children for   Babies R US, Sears, Zellers, Wall mart, Scholastic, Today’s Parent and much more.  Her devotion and love of the industry makes her strive for success stories with her children she represents.  The modeling and acting industry is a great tool to teach children how to accept rejection, as they will not always get the part they audition. Carolyn’s Model & Talent offers Acting Classes, and Modeling Classes, to help build children’s self esteem, and help them develop good memory skills, and gives them self confidence.  It helps them in school as well.    Carolyn’s also teaches children and adults etiquette classes as well. Carolyn’s Model & Talent Agency also represents children for Theatre, such as the Stratford Play   OLIVER in which one of their kids played the lead Oliver for 10 months.    Carolyn’s Model & Talent has over 4000 Sq ft of Space, ranging from a fully staffed booking Model & Talent Agency,   Class Room Facility and fully equipped Photo Studio.  Carolyn Nikkanen is a professional photographer. She worked for the Toronto Sun for many years photographing the Sunshine Boys; she also photographs weddings, children, and fashion models and actors.
